Insideous it is that the very use of it demonstrates: they know they are monsters too. Without needing to provide any proof, It is very easy: every problem on the planet is the result of its monster race and be easily justified in saying it. If today’s generation of monsters don’t successfully kill Obama, it won’t be for a lack of desire.  Why is it reassuring? I think any zealotry or racism is not reassuring AND detrimental to ALL of humanity. That “it’s not just us” sentiment is kind of trite. It doesn’t justify anything.
